Program for calculating cement pouring for pillars. Easily calculate concrete by yourself.
This concrete calculation program was created to help calculate the amount of concrete required for pouring a given column. It calculates both the actual amount of concrete used and the amount of concrete that should be ordered, allowing for losses or errors in the work.
Using the concrete calculation program for pouring columns
1. Fill in the column information:
- Pole width (centimeters): Specify the width of each pole in centimeters.
- Length of pole (centimeters): Specify the length of each pole in centimeters.
- Pole height (meters): Specify the height of each pole in meters.
- Number of poles: Specify the total number of columns to be poured.
- Percentage of concrete reserve: Specify the percentage of concrete to be added (default is 10%).
2. Click the "Calculate" button:
The program will calculate the quantity of concrete required for pouring all the columns and the quantity of concrete that should be ordered, rounded up to a whole number of cubic meters.
Result:
The program will display the following results:
- Amount of concrete required: Calculated concrete volume in cubic meters (cubic meters)
- Quantity of concrete to be ordered: The amount of concrete to be ordered, rounded up to the nearest whole number of cubic meters.

To calculate the amount of concrete required for pouring columns, the following formula is used:
1. Calculate the cross-sectional area of the column.:
- Cross-sectional area of column A = width W (cm) × length L (cm)
- Since we want the result in cubic meters, we need to convert from square centimeters to square meters by multiplying by 0.0001.
- Therefore, the cross-sectional area of column A (square meter) = W × L × 0.0001.
2. Calculate the volume of concrete required.:
- Volume of concrete required V (cubic meters) = cross-sectional area of column A (square meters) × height H (meters) × number of columns N
- V = W × L × 0.0001 × H × N
3. Calculate the amount of concrete to be ordered.:
- Quantity of concrete to be ordered = Volume of concrete required V × (1 + percentage of reserve concrete / 100)
- To obtain the exact amount of concrete to order, the value obtained is rounded up to an integer.
Calculation example
Suppose that:
- Width of the pillar = 30 centimeters
- Long side of the pole = 30 centimeters
- Pole height = 3 meters
- Number of poles = 4 trees
- Percentage of concrete reserve = 10%
The calculation will be as follows:
1. Calculate the cross-sectional area of the column.:
- A =30 × 30 × 0.0001 = 0.09 square meters
2. Calculate the volume of concrete required.:
- V= 0.09 × 3 × 4 = 1.08 cubic meters
3. Calculate the amount of concrete to be ordered.:
- Quantity of concrete to be ordered = 1.08 × (1+10/100) = 1.08 × 1.1 = 1.188 cubic meters
- Round up to a whole number. 2 cubic meters
The results displayed will be:
- Amount of concrete required: 1.08 Cubic meter (cubic metre)
- Quantity of concrete to be ordered: 2 Cubic meter (cubic metre)
