A simple concrete beam calculation program with just one click!
This concrete beam calculation program is designed to help you calculate the amount of concrete required for "pouring a beam" and the amount to order, including the percentage of reserve concrete. The program uses the following steps:
Using the concrete beam calculation program
Fill in the required fields.:
Beam cross-section width (cm): Enter the width of the beam cross-section in centimeters, for example 30.
Beam cross-section height (cm): Enter the height of the beam cross section in centimeters, for example 50.
Total length of all beams (meters): Enter the total length of all beams in meters, for example 10.
Percentage of concrete reserve: Enter the percentage of reserve concrete (default is set to 10%), such as 10.
Press the "Calculate" button.: When you have filled in all the information, press the button to perform the calculation.

Quantity of concrete to be ordered (cubic meters): Quantity of concrete to be ordered including percentage of reserve concrete
Formula for calculation
The program uses the following calculation formula:
- Calculate the cross-sectional area of the beam:
Beam cross-sectional area (square centimeters) = Beam cross-sectional width (cm) × Beam cross-sectional height (cm) - Calculate the amount of concrete required:
Quantity of concrete required (cubic meters) = beam cross-sectional area (square centimeters) × total beam length (meters) × 0.0001
*Multiply by 0.0001 because you want to change the units from square centimeters to cubic meters. - Calculate the quantity of concrete to be ordered including reserve concrete.:
Quantity of concrete to be ordered (cubic meters) = Quantity of concrete required × (1 + percentage of reserve concrete 100)
Calculation example
Suppose you fill in the following information:
- Beam cross-section width: 30 cm.
- Beam cross-section height: 50 cm.
- Total length of all beams: 10 meters
- Percentage of concrete reserve: 10%
The program will calculate as follows:
- Beam cross-sectional area:
30 cm. × 50 cm. = 1,500 square centimeters - Amount of concrete required:
1500 square centimeters × 10 meters × 0.0001 = 1.5 cubic meters (cubic meters) - Quantity of concrete to be ordered:
1.5 cubic meters × (1+10/100) = 1.5×1.10 = 1.65 cubic meters - Therefore, the amount of concrete required is 1.5 cubic meters and the amount of concrete to order is = 1.65 cu.
This program makes it easier and more accurate to calculate the amount of concrete for pouring beams, and allows you to adjust the percentage of reserve concrete as needed.
